There is a replica woodchipper outside but inside the visitors center is the actual official woodchipper from the movie. You'll know it's legit because the one inside has autographs from the Coen Brothers who made the movie Fargo that starred William H. Macy and Steve Buscemi and Frances McDormand.
And once you've gotten those pictures out of the way, the visitor's center has a super clean restroom, free coffee and all the brochures about the area including the museums, the hotels and the attractions.
For fans of the movie or TV series “Fargo” this is a must-see. So fun to see the famous wood hopper in person, complete with socked foot. Super friendly folks in the visitor center are happy to help tourists without being pushy. For geocachers, there is a fantastic cache here, too!
This is a beautiful visitors Center. There's not much shade to park in around the big parking lot near The visitor Center there's more shady areas
They have the famous wood shredder from the movie Fargo
It's a cute little miniature.
It also has electric car chargers and a dog area that almost always has bags.
The doggie bags or wait over in the corner of the parking lot right next to the back of Holiday. Another one of my favorites
Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Clean venue and restrooms.
Walk of Fame has many cracked and damaged concrete slabs.
Photos show a few in-tact slabs, photo backdrop and the wood chipper from the movie Fargo.
Really cool place. Great selection of stuff to buy for the state of ND or MN.
One of the best welcome centers! Employees were extremely friendly especially Dave who was quick to help. THANK YOU!
We stopped here to celebrate visiting our 50th state. Apparently ND is the last stop for a lot of people, because they even have a "Save the Best for Last" sign on the wall. We had fun with the "Fargo" woodchipper on display. The people here were so friendly and welcoming! This is definitely a must stop place if you are visiting Fargo.
What a welcoming way to arrive in Fargo. The staff here is so friendly and helpful, and they will gladly take their time to show you all the wonders and local treasures in the area. A few souvenirs and photo opps make it all the more worthwhile.
